Simple Baked Herb Tilapia

The most sustainable tilapia is farmed in the U.S. Avoid tilapia from Asia as there are problems with management practices.

  • 4 Tilapia Filets
  • Herbs (fresh preferred)
  • Butter or Olive oil
  • Dry White Wine
  • Salt/Pepper
  • Steamed Vegetables

Lightly butter or oil oven safe dish (use a dish only slightly larger than the fish). Place tilapia in dish and sprinkle with salt, pepper. Place one teaspoon of butter (or olive oil) on top of the fish and drizzle ¼ cup of wine over the Tilapia. Sprinkle 1 tsp of herbs over the fish (use fresh chopped herbs like thyme and rosemary, or other herb combinations). Bake in a 400 degree oven for approx. 7-9 min. Serve with steamed vegetables. Pour pan drippings over the fish for added flavor.

Serves fours.
